Irina Vázquez performs as a Soloist, as well as being the Featured Violinist with popular Atlanta bands CubanaSong (w/Lisset & Judith Rodès, David Marcus, Jordan Dayan, Mick Kinney, Omar Martinez), The Quarantine Quartet (w/Lisset & Judith Rodès, Mick Kinney, Elise Witt) and in duo with multi-instrumentalist Mick Kinney (Piano, Guitar, Accordian…)
Before arriving in the Atlanta area, Irina served for 20 years as Concert Master and Soloist with the illustrious Matanzas Symphony Orchestra, with whom she has an extensive repertoire. She has collaborated with many Cuban and international musicians of note including Michel Legrand, Marta Gomez, and Silvio Rodriguez, (known as the “Bob Dylan of Cuban music”).
Violinist for Hire
Irina’s many years as a performer in a multitude of situations, makes her the perfect musician to hire as a soloist or ensemble member for live and recording projects. Although she spends considerable time preparing her performances, she is also particularly gifted with last minute preparation and is a great fill-in musician.
